Join us for an in-person nature walk led by our local grass expert Cleve Powell! Our savanna restoration project is vital to the preservation of natural areas here at Phil Hardberger Park, and this walk will teach us about the wonderful grass biodiversity in the park.
Learn key characteristics to identify some of the most common species in the park as we look at the many species that make up our native savanna landscape.
Note: Please wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring some water to drink! Restrooms are available at the Urban Ecology Center
*For anyone interested in enjoying nature and learning about plants!
This talk is part of our monthly 4th Saturday Nature Walk series provided by our Alamo Area Master Naturalists and the Alamo Group of the Sierra Club, with the Native Plant Society of Texas, San Antonio.
