Presentation by Jake Aalfs. Another Stroll in the Yard.
Join Jake Aalfs for another stroll through his San Antonio yard to explore native flora and fauna. Four years ago to the day, Jake presented at our monthly meeting on Zoom, his yard and plant care philosophy. Now we look back and compare how the yard has evolved and answer the questions of what has worked and why. Jake’s yard is a haven for Texas native plants and provides a habitat for birds, pollinators, and other critters as well.
Jake is a Landscape Architect and Director of Geospatial Design at “Studio dwg”. He is interested in the appropriate application of technology to address social issues and improve the lives of all. He embraces the learn-by-doing methodology and enjoys discovering the true quality of things based on observation and interaction. He enjoys time outdoors tending his yard, hiking and working on his Jeep.
