Join David Jimenez, Education Coordinator, for a walk in the park! David will begin by introducing the City Nature Challenge this weekend and showing participants the basics of using the documentation and identification application iNaturalist!
Then, the group will head out onto the trails to capture and identify as many native species as possible!
This nature walk is part of the preparation for the City Nature Challenge (CNC). From April 25 to April 28, Texas San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, and Texas Parks Wildlife Department will participate in a fun challenge to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. It's easy to join by simply making observations on your own using iNaturalist!
