Join us for a morning out at the Historic Voelcker Homestead! The Southwest Dairy Farmers will present a live milking demonstration to teach us the modern milking process and the importance of dairy foods! We'll also have a farm animal petting zoo! Additionally, the Homestead Gardens will be open for tours! Take the time to tour the Butterfly Learning Center and Children's Vegetable Garden, and join in games, activities, and crafts for the whole family! Before Phil Hardberger Park became a city natural area, it had a rich history in agriculture as a dairy farm! See the 1800s stone house and the 1920s red dairy barn that housed the Voelcker family and their livestock. This agricultural and historical celebration brings a rare chance to see the homestead full of life again and to learn about where our food comes from! We hope to see you out!
