Nature Walk: Native Landscaping

  • Meet @ Urban Ecology Center 8400 NW Military Hwy San Antonio United States (map)

Join us for an in-person nature walk focusing on natives you can find in our park but can also use in your own landscaping!  Our leaders are Joan Miller, former president of the Native Plant Society of Texas--San Antonio (NPSOT-SA) Chapter and Drake White also with NPSOT-SA as well as the proprietor of the Nectar Bar.  Both are Texas Master Naturalists.  Learn how to use these plants in your own landscape, and how they benefit wildlife.

Note: Please wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring some water to drink! Restrooms are available at the Urban Ecology Center.

Download a handout of the plants that will be discussed here.

This talk is part of our monthly 4th Saturday Nature Walk series provided by our Alamo Area Master Naturalists and the Alamo Group of the Sierra Club, with the Native Plant Society of Texas, San Antonio.
