The Starting Out Wild program is returning in-person, but we will still offer the pre-recorded version published on the 15th of every month.
Join us this month as we learn about cacti! Master Naturalist Wendy Drezek will lead us in singing songs, learning about cacti and other plants that have developed special adaptations to survive a harsh environment.
What's so cool about a cactus? Lots of things! We'll talk about the poky and prickly parts of the cactus, the flowers and the... fruit?! Then we'll make a spiny craft, read a story, and make a snack!

About Starting Out Wild
Starting Out Wild is an educational program that fosters toddlers’ love of nature. Offered to children 18 months to 3 years old, the program’s format has four parts: learning, investigating, a hands-on project and snack time. The nature-filled lessons are highlighted with music and movement, plus a story on both ends.
