Wild Weather Adaptations: When it's chilly outside, we put on a jacket, or sit by the fireplace... but what do the animals do?

Stop by one of the Greeter's tables (located at the Urban Ecology Center and the Salado Outdoor Classroom) to pick up a Grab-N-Go kit filled with activities to help you explore the park.

As the seasons change, animals face extreme temperatures and situations. This month let's take a look at how our native animals handle the Heat, the Frost, and the Droughts! This kit contains information about adaptations of area wildlife and ways to compare their strategies to ours. The kit also includes a fun themed activity to make, and a yummy snack recipe!

This is a drop-by program. Supplies are limited. Packets are designed for children ages 3 and up.
