The Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge: Built for San Antonio
The Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge is now open for all to enjoy. This vision has turned to reality after a decade of work. The Land Bridge unites the two sides of the park, previously separated by Wurzbach Parkway. It is unique in the nation, as it was built for both people and animals. Deer have already been spotted using the bridge.
The Land Bridge is named after Robert L.B. Tobin, for sponsoring the feasibility study to see if such a bridge could work, and for the generous donation that closed out the private fundraising, ushering the bridge into reality.
"It is because of the generosity and the advocacy of the people of San Antonio that this bridge exists. I hope the people of San Antonio enjoy this. It will be their bridge, forever." ~Phil Hardberger
